The Intelligent Uninterruptible Power Supply (iUPS) is a component of the TAC-SINe™ Power Distribution System (PDS). It protects system equipment from power spikes, dips and losses, as well as preventing data loss in the event of a system power source interruption. The unit contains a removable and rechargeable Li-ion battery with 4.6 Ahrs of storage capacity. When connected to an Ethernet network and using Tactronics’ Power Manager™, a user can control the primary functions (power output, battery charger and shutdown) through the LAN. Though not necessary for the iUPS to function, Power Manager™ allows the iUPS to be used to its
full capability.
